A breeze of modernity is sweeping through the Land of the Rising Sun. In February 2025, S.T. Dupont will unveil its very first concept store in Tokyo, on the vibrant and iconic Ginza Avenue. A true meeting point of refinement and innovation, Ginza now plays host to the most contemporary expression of S.T. Dupont’s heritage — where timeless elegance meets bold innovation.

A boutique as a manifesto

Following Paris (rue Saint-Honoré), Hong Kong, and Harvey Nichols at Pacific Place, this new Tokyo destination reimagines the Maison’s vision of excellence. Designed by the renowned studio Sybarite, the architectural concept draws directly from the House’s very first iconic lighter, born in the 1940s — a pioneering object, symbolising the perfect balance between function and finesse, now reinterpreted as a retail space.

The interior design pays tribute to the Maison’s signature codes: noble materials, graphic lines, iconic guilloché patterns, lacquer accents, and a palette inspired by flame. From electric blue to deep midnight, soft peach to glowing yellow, the tones create contrasting atmospheres — a nod to the House’s signature twin flame.

An immersive journey

From the entrance — framed by fluted pillars echoing the form of a lighter — the experience begins. Mirrored floors and ceilings guide visitors through a sensory journey, from the supple leather of fine accessories to the precision and presence of lighters and writing instruments.

At the heart of this refined scenography hangs a striking chandelier in the shape of an inverted pyramid, suspended from a steel grid ceiling. Adorned with traditional washi paper, it weaves a delicate connection between Japanese craftsmanship and French heritage.

The store layout, inspired by the iconic “diamond head” and twin flame motifs, structures the space like a jewel box. Every detail reflects the Maison’s core values: artisanal excellence, constant innovation, and French sophistication.

More than a boutique, it is a statement — an experience crafted for those who, like the Maison itself, refuse to stand still. Those who embrace modernity without forgetting the past, and who ignite a new kind of flame.
