Within its Faverges workshops at the heart of the French Alps, the Maison’s master artisans shape their exceptional objects with pride and joy. They are the ones responsible for the famous “Cling” sound that is so characteristic of a S.T. Dupont lighter, symbolising the quality and joy that it brings.
From the body to the tank, S.T. Dupont lighters are fashioned entirely from one block of solid brass, resulting in a hard-wearing object, adorned with fine materials, that can withstand the test of time. In its constant quest for innovation, S.T. Dupont launched a new line of torch flame lighters in 2000: light and ergonomic, they ensure efficient lighting in all circumstances. Handcrafted in France, the iconic lighters of S.T. Dupont require 150 handmade operations and 60 hours of precision work.

Just as Simon Tissot-Dupont decided to create the most beautiful luggage of his day, our craftsmen select the finest leathers, exclusively from France, Italy, Spain, according to the strictest criteria: evenness, suppleness, strength and finesse. All the processes, from cutting to sewing, are performed by hand with meticulous attention paid to every detail for perfect finishing. Three emblematic leathers catch our attention. Line D leather takes its inspiration from S.T. Dupont’s very first collection “Fauve”. Line D leather is also available in a grained version for a more contemporary finish. Finally, hand-patinated Atelier leather, alludes to the Maison’s ancestral expertise.
