Who else but a direct descendant of King Louis XIII of France could embody the legitimacy and elegance necessary to imagine a work of art in collaboration with S.T. Dupont? Her Royal Highness Princess Tania de Bourbon Parme, always passionate about art and design, wished to conceive an exceptional object, a unique piece that transcends time. Thus was born the LOUIS XIII Fleur de Parme, an exceptional table lighter, inspired by the splendor and refinement of the Renaissance and Baroque era, under the reign of King Louis XIII.
The Art of Fire Raised to Royal Status
Entirely handcrafted, the lighter and its base are made of royal blue Chinese lacquer, magnified by finely sculpted leaves and Fleur de Parme motifs in 400g solid gold. At the top, a majestic crown holds 40 brilliant-cut sapphires totaling 13 carats, giving the whole piece a sovereign and precious aura. The lighter and its base are also set with 72 brilliant-cut sapphires, 27 princess-cut, and 13 cabochons, representing a total of 33.6 carats — a dazzling testament to the Maison's jewelry-making savoir-faire.
