The name of this pen evokes the end of the 19th century, when Paris was synonymous with beauty, glory and seduction and Montparnasse was the meeting place of great artists such as Baudelaire, Monnet, and Manet. The pen’s body ends with a ‘flange’; the barrel begins with a rocking half ring providing access to the pen’s section.

The "Chairman" pattern on the Montparnasse pen combines two techniques: goldsmithing and lacquering. The variations in texture obtained by the “barley grain” guilloche pattern creates coloured variations in the translucent amber lacquer. The final polishing enhances the full glory of this pattern.
